New AAMA Certification
Rocket Powder Coating is a registered IFS Applicator. We’re now certified to both AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 for powder coating architectural aluminum, meeting and exceeding AAMA performance requirements.
Large Volume Capable
With our 5-stage washer and our high-speed conveyorized coating system, we can quickly process the largest quantities. From large to small, we can truly do it all!
Large-Format Parts
The Rocket part window is 30 feet long, 8 feet tall and 8 feet wide. We handle components and assemblies weighing up to 5,000 pounds.
High-End Certification
Rocket is certified to material and process specifications JDM F17X1 and JDM F17X2, which are among the most stringent coating standards.
Anti-Corrosion
Manufacturers that specify a Salt Spray Test minimum typically require 200 to 400 hours without corrosion. Rocket has achieved corrosion resistance up to 1000 hours.
Custom and Specialty Powders
We start from the position that there is a custom powder for every custom color. We’re equally aggressive in sourcing specialty finishes that enable you to tap the unique, built-in capabilities of powder.
Meeting Industry-Specific Demands With Confidence
Rocket Powder Coating serves a wide range of industries throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Midwest. We understand that every sector has unique performance standards—and we’ve built our systems to deliver custom powder coating solutions that align with those expectations.
Industries We Commonly Serve:
- Architectural and Building Materials: AAMA-certified finishes for aluminum facades, window frames, and railings
- Agricultural Equipment: Rugged finishes that endure extreme weather and field conditions
- Automotive and Transportation: Coating systems that meet JDM standards for corrosion resistance and appearance
- OEM Manufacturing: Precise, high-throughput coating of components in fast-moving production cycles
- Energy and Utilities: Durable finishes for outdoor enclosures, housings, and pole systems
Whether you’re meeting ASTM, ISO, or AAMA guidelines, Rocket ensures your parts are finished to spec every time.
Quality Assurance Through Data and Documentation
Rocket’s reputation for reliability isn’t just built on process—it’s built on proof. That’s why every part that moves through our facilities is subject to rigorous inspection protocols and measurable benchmarks.
Our in-house Quality Control Departments are equipped to track and document critical performance indicators such as:
- Salt spray resistance (ASTM B117 testing)
- Film thickness accuracy
- Gloss level consistency
- Crosshatch adhesion (ASTM D3359)
- Part temperature uniformity during curing
- Visual inspection under optimized lighting conditions
We offer complete documentation packages upon request. These can include batch traceability, inspection photos, material certifications, and more, making Rocket’s custom powder coating solutions ideal for customers who require a high level of accountability.
Tailored Service for Complex Projects
Many powder coating suppliers focus solely on volume. Rocket, by contrast, combines high-capacity systems with flexibility, allowing us to take on complex or multi-phase projects that other shops might decline.
Our Flexible Approach Includes:
- Masking and multi-color operations for parts with functional and decorative areas
- Custom racking design for unusual part geometries
- Sourcing specialty powders for unique finishes, textures, or color matching
- Salt spray testing to extended hours for high-corrosion environments
- Short-run flexibility without long lead times
These are just a few ways we build custom powder coating solutions tailored to your product’s end use.
From antimicrobial finishes for medical equipment to UV-resistant coatings for outdoor components, we collaborate closely with powder suppliers to select the exact formulation that meets your needs and then execute the process with consistency and speed.
